Tanner Loyd Stichka, 33, passed away in Springfield, Missouri, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Tanner was born May 8, 1988, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Richard and Tonya D. (Lessman) Stichka. He received his education in the Bridgeport schools, graduating with the Class of 2007 where he excelled on the varsity basketball team. Tanner earned Associates Degrees in Construction, Architectural Design, and Drafting from Central Community College in Hastings, NE.

Scotts Bluff National Monument to host 'evening backcountry tour'

GERING - On Tuesday, July 27, Scotts Bluff National Monument will host an evening backcountry tour. Park Ranger Matt Salomon will lead the tour on the north side of the bluff. Ribbon cuttings mark opening of pedestrian bridge, 23 Club fields

A pair of red ribbon ceremonies marked the official opening of two major projects in northern Scottsbluff Tuesday evening. The first of the celebrations took place at the north end of the Monument Valley Pedestrian Bridge, the final piece to the Scottsbluff’s part in the 6 mile Monument Pathway project. Dan Marshall, parks, cemetery and tree board chairman, said the entire project started out as the vision of one city employee 12-13 years ago.
