While conducting area patrol in the undeveloped section of Splendora Fields neighborhood a Splendora Police Department Night shift officer observed a Ford F-150 parked in a dirt driveway off Cooperstown Way, without any running lights on with a red and blue light bar activated. The officer made contact with the driver and asked for consent to search of the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, the officer located a beanie hat that had Police stitched on it and a firearm that was later discovered to be stolen from Harris County. The driver, identified as Jerardo Munis Lara, 25, of 20318 Bobby ibn Porter was placed in custody for multiple charges and transported to Montgomery County Jail. He is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail on charges of False ID as a police officer, (which was not accepted by the District Attorney’s Office) possession of marijuana, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
