Lexington High School Tigers baseball looked to keep the season going and their hopes alive on Monday evening, May 9, 2022, as the team traveled to Hardin County to take on the McNairy County Bobcats. The Tigers were well aware of the situation at hand and gave great effort in the contest against McNairy County. Lexington grabbed the lead late in the game and went on to secure the victory by a final score of 4-2.

Elizabeth “Momma Ann” Newell departed this life on Saturday, May 7, at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 18 days. She was born in Hardin County on July 19, 1940, the daughter of the late Jim and Lillian Climer Webb. On July 25, 1958, she was united in marriage to George “Sonny” Newell, who preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1990.
David Seaton, a long time native of Hardin County, departed this life on Saturday, April 30, at the age of 80 years and 16 days. He was born in Bristol, Virginia, on April 14, 1942, to the late Con and Louise Allison Seaton, while the family was traveling and working for TVA. On June 19, 2019, he was united in marriage to Sue Duncan, who survives.
