Suspect surrenders after SWAT situation in Haralson County

HARALSON COUNTY, Ga. - Deputies have arrested a suspected gunman after a SWAT situation at a Haralson County home. Officials with the Haralson County Sheriff's Office say the incident began around 8:45 Thursday night when deputies were called to Westbrook Road in Bremen, Georgia for reports of a man shot.

Grandmother accused of leaving 2 grandkids behind to steal ATV in Georgia

HARALSON COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia woman is facing multiple charges after authorities said she left her grandchildren alone in the rain while she stole an ATV. The Haralson County sheriff’s office said their deputies were called out to a home on Old Pleasant Hill Road on Wednesday in reference to trespassing. Deputies said they were told that a woman and two children were on the homeowner’s property with a side-by-side ATV.

16-year-old Georgia boy found safe after taken by smugglers, deputies say

HARALSON COUNTY, Ga. — A 16-year-old boy is safe after authorities issued a Levi’s Call, the state’s Amber Alert. The Haralson County Sheriff’s office said deputies were called to the Haralson County Welcome Center around 1:15 a.m. in reference to a kidnapping. During their investigation, deputies said a woman paid a smuggler to get her son into the United States. Authorities said when the woman went to the welcome center to get her son back, she did not have enough money for the final payment, so the suspect took her son back. That’s when the mother called 911 and authorities began investigating.
