Students’s gut instincts don’t match UMass’s COVID policy

Over the past week, University of Massachusetts students have woken up each morning faced with a choice: follow their gut instinct or abide by UMass policy. With nearly 400 new positive cases in the past week, many off-campus students have roommates or close friends who have tested positive for the virus. However, according to University policy, these students are to attend class unless they test positive or have symptoms. For many, this simply feels wrong.

Jogger Struck by Car in West Hartford: PD

A pedestrian was struck by a car and subsequently injured Sunday morning in West Hartford, according to police. Officials said a woman was hit on Fern Street by North Main at approximately 10:40 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they saw a female jogger injured and the involved vehicle was still at the scene.

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – For more than 50 years, a Massachusetts man has taken his birds of prey on the road enlightening and entertaining countless families.
