Cape Cod estate of Bunny Mellon, known as Scallop Path, sold for $19M

A Cape Cod estate formerly owned by socialite Rachel “Bunny” Lambert Mellon has been sold for $19 million. Mellon, who passed away in 2014 at 103, was famously known for her significantly designed gardens, including her most heralded 1962 creation of the White House Rose Garden. The Rose Garden would go on to become a place where President John F. Kennedy — and presidents after him — hosted significant events.

Newswise — BROOKLYN, New York, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 — Whether the result of tidal flooding, extreme events like Hurricanes Henri and Ida, or more frequent cloudbursts, flooding affects public health and safety, mobility, infrastructure, and the city’s economy. In the face of climate change, which is likely to increase the frequency and severity of such events, the city needs access to real-time data providing critical information on when and where flooding occurs. However, the city has had limited data available on the frequency, extent, and depth of floods. In particular, there has been no quantitative, systematically-collected data on street-level flooding in NYC outside of reports made to NYC's 311 service request line.

Indo-Chinese cuisine originates in the city of Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Chinese people who immigrated to Kolkata brought their food with them, but started making them using Indian ingredients and spices!
