Drug charges filed against Cameron man who was extradited to Grundy County

Drug possession charges, including two felony counts and one misdemeanor, have been filed in Grundy County Circuit Court against 28-year-old Benjamin Keith Leach of Cameron. Documents report Leach was accused on April 2nd of possession of methamphetamine and possession of THC wax. The misdemeanor count is for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use, prior offender. The documents describe it as smoking pipes.

Trenton man sentenced to seven year prison term with Missouri Department of Corrections

Trenton resident Jessie Lee Ingraham has been sentenced to prison after he pleaded guilty to a drug charge and admitted to a violation of conditions of probation. In Division One of Grundy County Circuit Court, Ingraham was sentenced to a seven-year term with the Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance as of March 25th.

KC Man Arrested By Troopers In Grundy County

A Kansas City man was arrested by State Troopers in Grundy County. Thursday night, Troopers arrested 46-year-old Nathan R Clark for alleged DWI – prior offender, driving while revoked or suspended – 2nd or 3rd offense, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was processed and released.

Amublance staffing and payroll dominate meeting of Grundy County Commission

Grundy County Ambulance pay and retention were discussed with the Grundy County Commission on May 10th. Spokesperson Jenny Hunter led the discussion on behalf of the ambulance. She said the meeting was being held to bring awareness to the community. Others in attendance were Grundy County Ambulance Director Sarah Porter, other ambulance personnel, Trenton Fire Chief Brandon Gibler, and community members.

The Grundy R-V FFA Chapter held its annual banquet on May 5, 2022, in the Grundy R-V gymnasium. Greenhand Degrees were awarded to Ethan Barry, Mariah Baugher, Kaleb Bower, Emma Fishcer, Raegen Griswold, Cale Lawson, Hunter Limkemann, Makina Limkemann, Adysan Rains, Alexis Randall, Bradyn Randall, Aaron Saul, and Abby Smith.

Grundy Electric Cooperative Foundation awards grants to area schools

Grants are funded by donations called Operation Round Up where members voluntarily round up their utility bills each month to fund grants to eligible entities. Education grants were awarded to the school in Ridgeway at $872 and $873 for document cameras and STEM supplies; Cainsville School gets $819 for a laptop; North Harrison at Eagleville receives $900 for judging materials; South Harrison in Bethany, $824 for an audiometer; Trenton Middle School, $600 for STEM tools; Grundy County R-5 at Galt, $1,000 for an audiometer; Newtown-Harris $301 for a listening center; North Daviess of Jameson, $225 for Bunnicula Ready-to-Read Books; and Wayne Community Schools in Corydon, Iowa, $358 for scientific calculators.

Trenton Teen Injured in Wednesday Evening Crash

LAREDO, MO – A Trenton teen was injured Wednesday evening in an accident in Grundy County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 16-year old male driver was westbound on Route E, 2 miles northwest of Laredo. The driver negotiated a curve in the roadway but then travelled off the north side of the roadway where he struck a ditch before overturning several times.

Trenton man pleads guilty to amended charge of peace disturbance

A Trenton man has pleaded guilty to an amended charge and had another charge dismissed in Grundy County Circuit Court. The Grundy County Clerk’s Office reports Matthew Waddle was originally charged with two counts of misdemeanor second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, stemming from June 2020. The charges were amended to two counts of misdemeanor peace disturbance.

Trenton man arrested on parole violations

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Department reports the arrest of a Trenton man on May 4th on a technical parole violation involving employment, drugs, reporting, and directives. Thirty-one-year-old William Grimes allegedly violated his parole by refusing to find full-time employment, testing positive for methamphetamine and continuing to use the drug, not reporting to appointments, and refusing to attend community-based treatment.

Wyoming Man Arrested By Trenton Police

A Wyoming man was arrested Monday after he refused to leave a Trenton Business. Twenty-seven-year-old Zachary Robert Dallman was arrested and taken to the Grundy County Detention Center. Dallman has been charged with alleged Trespassing, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance at a County Correctional Facility.
