Buccaneers won't be allowed to fire cannons at Super Bowl LV

Lions hire Dan Campbell as new head coach

(DETROIT) The Detroit Lions hired Dan Campbell to be the team’s new head coach on Wednesday. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that it is a six-year contract. Campbell brings 22 years of football experience, 11 years as a player and 11 years as a coach, to a Lions organization which has finished last in the NFC North for three straight seasons. Since 2016, he served as the New Orleans Saints’ assistant head coach and tight ends coach.

Sarah Thomas to become first woman referee to officiate the Super Bowl

The NFL announced the news Tuesday as Thomas who joined the league in 2015, as its first female on-field official, had met officiating crew eligibility requirements.

Associated Press reveals 2020 All-Pro First Team and Second Team

The AP reported that two selections were unanimous this year, receiving all the votes from the 50 media members who vote for the teams: defensive lineman Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams and tight end Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.

NFL considering allowing health care workers to attend Super Bowl LV

The NFL is considering allowing vaccinated health care workers to attend Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Fla., according to ABC News 10. In a letter to the President of the Tampa Super Bowl Host Committee Rob Higgins, Goodell said the NFL is in the midst of strategizing a way to invite health care workers to the Super Bowl safely with guidance from health officials.
