Marilyn Yvonne Fuhlhage of Eureka, died on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Vintage Park of Eureka, at the age of 79. She was born March 19, 1942, in rural Fall River, the daughter of Alfred Edwin and Freda Eunice (Mitchell) Ward. She attended country school for grades 1 - 3, Neal Grade School for grades 4 – 6, and graduated from Toronto High School with the Class of 1960. On July 30, 1960, she was united in marriage to Melvin D. Herb in Biloxi, MS. To this union, seven children were born. Melvin was in the Air Force, so the family moved frequently before settling in Eureka. The marriage later ended in divorce. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1997. Marilyn was united in marriage to James Fuhlhage in Virgil, Kansas, on March 23, 1984. To this union one child was born. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2001. Marilyn worked at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, for more than 20 years, before retiring in 2007.
