Attorney General, Packers finish distributing Child ID kits through schools

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Each year, more than 800,000 children go missing in the U.S., according to the Department of Justice. To help parents protect their kids, Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul, Green Bay Packers, and other sponsors teamed up to distribute a new tool to every student in the state. Thursday, a ceremony was held at Lambeau Field to celebrate the distribution of the last Child ID kits.

Panthers sweep Phoenix

The Green Bay Phoenix men’s and women’s basketball teams opened up Horizon League play Thursday night with both teams facing their in-state rivals, the Milwaukee Panthers. Milwaukee went two for two. At the Resch Center, the Panther men defeated Green Bay 81-67. A 14-3 run late in the first half put Milwaukee up 10 at the break and they steadily pulled away for the win. Ahmad Rand led the Panthers with 13. Cade Meyer topped the Phoenix with 19 points while Brock Heffner and Randy Tucker each contributed 12. Milwaukee improves to 6-3 with a 1-0 start in conference play while the Phoenix drop to 0-7, 0-1 on the season.

St. Norbert dominated Lakeland from start to finish at Woltzen Gym Tuesday night, winning 95-56. The Green Knights shot better from 50% from the floor, knocking down 10 of 16 three points shots as they led by 25 at intermission and coasted to the victory to stay perfect in NACC play at 2-0, improving to 3-2 overall. Luxemburg-Casco wrestling begins season with conference dual

The Luxemburg-Casco wrestling team will begin their pursuit of another appearance in the team state tournament when they host Marinette on Thursday. The Spartans lost their final match of the season last year in the state championship, falling to Amery 36-30. While Max Ronsman will be out due to an injury suffered during the football season, the Spartans will likely welcome back individual state tournament participants Easton Worachek, Issac Jerabek, Blakelee Bastian, Caleb Delebreau, Ryan Routhieaux, and Trace Schoenebeck.
