Two people have suffered serious injuries after a vehicle traveled through a field and struck a tree head-on. Friday night at approximately 10:35, Grayson County Deputies Nick Pruitt, Caleb Owens and Brian Pharis, the Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to the wreck in field at the intersection of Lewis School Road and Hickory Grove Road.

Grayson Co. Alliance receives nearly $3,000 grant from Kentucky Colonels

The Grayson County Alliance has received a nearly $3,000 grant to support GCA’s Food Pantry. “Grayson County Alliance is proud to announce we received a $2,712 grant from the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels (HOKC) to purchase outdoor corkboard, cardboard box stand, platform trucks, a hand truck and laptop workstation to aid the GCA Food Pantry warehouse and food support services,” said GCA Executive Director Debbie Childress, who is also a Kentucky Colonel.

County to buy old LPD building

The Grayson County Fiscal Court on Tuesday voted to purchase the former Leitchfield Police Department building on South Main Street. Grayson County Judge Executive Kevin Henderson, near the end of Tuesday’s regular fiscal court meeting, said the city of Leitchfield offered to sell the former Leitchfield Police Department (LPD), located at 117 South Main St., to the county for $250,000, and he recommended purchasing it and repurposing it as a new location for the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO).
