H-E-B buys land in fast-growing Forney

H-E-B, which recently said it plans to expand into Dallas-Fort Worth, has purchased land in Forney near the intersection of FM 1641 and Highway 80. The property is on the southeast corner of the main retail intersection in Forney, with a Walmart Supercenter directly across Highway 80 and a Kroger Marketplace on the northeast side of the intersection. A Kohl’s department store just broke ground near the Kroger.

Boeing plans to move 150 jobs to Texas from California and Washington state

Airplane manufacturer Boeing is planning to move 150 new jobs to its Global Services division in North Texas. Boeing told 150 non-unionized workers in Washington and California that their jobs would be moved to Texas as part of the company’s ongoing “business transformation plans.” The move was first reported by the Seattle Times and confirmed by a Boeing spokesman.
