Local Red Cross Chapter Receives $15,000 Grant

Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky has granted $15,000 to the American Red Cross Greater Cincinnati Tri-State Chapter to support the nonprofit’s emergency efforts in Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties. The chapter has responded to a dramatic increase in home fires over the past year, due to individuals staying home much more in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Remembering Marianne: Tree planted in honor of woman who died of COVID-19

Five months ago, Grant County and the Special Olympics community lost “a ray of light” when 29-year-old Marianne Snowden died Jan. 14 from COVID-19 complications.
