Bodycam video: San Bernardino Police chase robbery suspects through apartment complex

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Two people were arrested earlier this week for allegedly robbing multiple storage units in San Bernardino County, according to authorities. According to the San Bernardino Police Department, a caller reported the robberies last Wednesday, May 25, saying that the duo had cut the locks at a local storage facility, stealing items and loading them into the back of a U-Haul truck. The robberies were also apparently caught on surveillance cameras.

Police: 21-year-old San Bernardino man found with large cache of assault rifles, other firearms

A routine traffic stop revealed an unusually large cache of firearms in San Bernardino, police said.Robert Andrew Medina, 21, of San Bernardino, is being held on multiple weapons charges and is scheduled to appear in court next Wednesday. San Bernardino police say Medina was behind the wheel of a U-Haul box truck that had been observed by an officer, making several traffic violations. Medina, who had just been arrested for a firearms violation, consented to a search of the truck – which turned up seven assault rifles, nine handguns, a shotgun, 18 high-capacity magazines, and an assortment of ammunition, according to San Bernardino police.One of the firearms was determined to have been stolen, and another had an altered serial number, police said.Medina remains in custody Thursday on $500,000 bail, according to San Bernardino County jail records.

Police chase ends in deadly shooting near Pomona

POMONA, Calif. - A police chase took a deadly turn near Pomona late Friday night. The Ontario Police Department was trying to get a car to pull over near the intersection of West Mission Boulevard and South Magnolia Avenue in Ontario, but the suspect refused to stop, prompting a police chase. The chase went through parts of Ontario, parts of Montclair and into Pomona before the suspect crashed their car into another car with a person inside.

Police investigating officer-involved following pursuit in Ontario

One suspect died after an officer-involved shooting following a pursuit through Ontario and into Pomona. The Ontario Police Department tried to pull over the suspect's vehicle at about 7:35 p.m. when they refused to stop and continued to drive away. The pursuit went through Montclair and into Pomona. The chase came to an end after the driver crashed into another vehicle and exited the car, prompting officers to open fire on the suspect.It was not immediately clear if he was armed or fired at officers first. No officers were injured and the suspect died. The condition of the other driver is currently unknown.
