New Family-Owned Mexican Restaurant Now Open

Wherever you turn, there’s a new shop opening up on the corner of intersections, offering the same kind of tacos or burritos found in New Hampshire or Nebraska. But in Arizona, tacos and Mexican food in general is a way of life. It’s such an important part of the culinary scene that locals can easily taste the difference between chain and locally owned. A new entry is coming to metro Phoenix with the latter, thanks to the opening of a family-owned operation.

Newest Phoenix Food Stores to Feature Original Mural by Artist Kenneth Keene

The City of Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture partnered with Fry’s Food Stores to commission local artist Kenneth Keene, an experienced muralist and former art educator, to create a mural in the new Fry’s Food Stores in north Phoenix. The mural is featured on the wall near the main entrance of the store. Located at 26300 N. Norterra Parkway, the store is scheduled to open on Wednesday, October 5.

The 2022 Arizona State Fair opens at noon today, Sept. 23 and goes through Sunday, Oct. 30. Enjoy all the fried food, rides, livestock, shopping and more Thursdays through Sundays. The fair opens at noon and closing times vary with attendance, usually 11 p.m. Rides will stop after the La Grande Wheel goes dark. The Shopping Pavilion closes at 10 p.m. Livestock Barns close at 9 p.m.
