Don't forget to get your flu shot this season

When things are going well, it is easy for people to let their guard down. It is just a part of our nature to relax a bit when we’ve been on high alert for a long time. The COVID-19 situation in Glynn County has thankfully come down from where it was a couple of months ago when a surge caused by the Delta variant ran rampant through the community. School board reviews district's use of CARES Act funding

Federal funding provided to schools throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has been used in a wide variety of ways by Glynn County’s public school district. The Glynn County Board of Education reviewed a breakdown of the budget summaries for three allotments of Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) funding received since the pandemic began in March 2020 during its monthly work session Thursday.

New version of Delta variant hasn't been found yet in Georgia

A faster spreading “sub-lineage” of the coronavirus Delta variant is surfacing across the nation, health officials are advising states. To date, at least one case of what is being called AY.4.2 has been found in labs in California, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, North Carolina, Rhode Island and Washington state, as well as the District of Columbia. It also has surfaced in the United Kingdom.
