Campbell officials bemoan lack of state fossil fuel transition guidance

GILLETTE – Campbell County officials are disappointed that there seems to be no guidance from the state level as far as what’s next for Wyoming. Commissioner Rusty Bell said that while the fossil fuel industry continues to decline, there hasn’t been any leadership or direction from the state when it comes to transitioning away from thermal coal.

Introducing Kayla McDougall, MA-C, a certified medication assistant at The Legacy and Rehabilitation Center in the Birch Neighborhood in Gillette, Wyoming. She’s been with CCH for more than seven years. As a MA-C, Kayla is a certified nursing assistant (CNA) responsible for administering daily medication to patients at the long-term care facility. Other duties include monitoring patients, reporting changes, and collecting samples.

City supports county, college and community services in grant grabbing efforts

The city of Gillette is on board with several local entities seeking various grants to potentially plan and guide the future of Campbell County. On Tuesday, the City Council passed three resolutions in support of the Gillette College Foundation as well as a bundle of community services related to affordable housing and another for the county’s push towards grants and partnerships in the realm of carbon capture technology.
