Georgia Tech student travels 2000 miles on bicycle

ATLANTA — A Georgia Tech student traveled 2,228.4 miles from Marietta, Georgia, to Los Angeles, California, by bike. “I bought a bike during quarantine and the idea of riding across the country somehow seemed like a good one. A lot of people laughed at me, didn’t believe that I could do it, or just looked at me like I was crazy,” said computational science and engineering student Ali Amirfazli.

Safety from Georgia picks Michigan State over offers from Clemson, Penn State and others

A heavily-recruited defensive back out of SEC country is heading to East Lansing. Saturday, Michigan State received a verbal pledge from 3-star safety Quavian Carter, a member of the 2022 recruiting class. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound defensive back received more than a dozen offers on the recruiting trail, but picked the Spartans after a visit to East Lansing on June 11.

Tucker Middle School students win Samsung Solve for Tomorrow

ATLANTA — The students of Tucker Middle School were awarded $80,000 for their efforts in fighting against human trafficking. They were recently named the Community Choice Award Winners in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest, a national competition that challenges public school students in grades 6-12 to use STEM skills to address real-world change in their communities.

4-star junior offensive tackle plans a return visit to Auburn

It has been a very busy first 10 days of recruiting in the month of June for Bryan Harsin and the Auburn Tigers with top prospects on campus from every position.
