Judge deems Georgia's anti-BDS law unconstitutional

Georgia's anti-BDS law, which has been on the books since April 26, 2016, has recently been imperiled by a lawsuit filed against it. The law was initially signed by Nathan Deal, who was governor at the time, and it stipulated that "any person or company contracting with the state for services valued at $1,000 or more must agree not to boycott Israel."

Doctors concerned about delta variant in Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Covid cases are on the rise at Middle Georgia hospitals. This comes several weeks after Coliseum, now Piedmont Macon, announced it had zero COVID patients. Hospital leaders didn’t give an exact number of COVID patients they have right now but did say the number of patients has doubled in the last week.

More Georgians getting vaccinated as Delta variant cases rise

ATLANTA — A rise in COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths had led to a modest increase in daily vaccinations, according to state data. The number of people receiving a vaccine dose has increased by 44% over the past two weeks compared to the previous two weeks, according to figures from the Georgia Department of Public Health. On average, that means an extra 6,000 Georgians are getting a vaccine dose per day.
