Lee's Summit man charged in Platte County human trafficking sting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Platte County prosecutor has charged a 29-year-old man suspected of trafficking several women in Platte County after a human trafficking sting. Prosecutor Eric Zahnd said Sean D. Green, of Lee's Summit, could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted of trafficking the women for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

Lee’s Summit man is charged with human trafficking as part of multi-agency sting effort

Platte County prosecutors have accused a 29-year-old man with trafficking and attempting to sexually exploit several women following a multi-agency human trafficking sting. Sean D. Green of Lee’s Summit has been charged with felony trafficking for purposes of sexual exploitation. One victim said Green sent her on “dates” because she owed him money, according to court records.

Six Injured in JoCo Accident

A half dozen people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday in Johnson County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2018 Chevy Cruze, driven by 26-year-old Sean T. Burns of Warrensburg, was Route H and Highway 13 at 12:20 p.m., when he failed to yield to a southbound 2013 Ford Escape, driven by 70-year-old Deborah S. Mahurin of Higginsville, and was struck on the driver's side.

Warrensburg Woman Injured in Johnson County Accident

A Warrensburg woman was injured Sunday in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Johnson County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2015 Lincoln, driven by 54-year-old Andrea L. Pease of Warrensburg, was at 402 SE 301 Road at 3:44 p.m., when she crossed the center of the road and struck a southbound 2006 Chevy Silverado, driven by 45-year-old Jason F. McCarty of Leeton.

Cass County one-vehicle accident injures two from Pleasant Hill, one seriously

CASS COUNTY, Mo. — Two Pleasant Hill residents were injured in a Cass County accident Sunday night. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, James D. Fishbaugh, 48, was driving a Pontiac Torrent on Missouri Route 58, just west of Ward Road, at 8:55 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17. His vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck several trees and overturned. Fishbaugh was minorly injured. His passenger, Melissa A. Cure, 52, was seriously injured. Both were transported by ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment.
