A feedlot in Wilder wants to double its size. Neighbors are resisting

WILDER — Owners of the feedlot property at Peckham Road and Fish Road in Wilder began telling neighbors about their expansion intentions in late 2019. Peckham Road Trust trustee Gary Johnston is listed as the land owner, according to Canyon County records. The feedlot is currently allowed to have 6,000 head of beef cattle.

44-year-old Boise man airlifted to Salt Lake City after crash in Nampa

NAMPA, Idaho (CBS2) — A 44-year-old Boise man was airlifted to Salt Lake City after a crash in Nampa. Idaho State Police says the two-vehicle crash occurred at Caldwell Boulevard and N. Canyon Street by the Fred Meyer in Nampa. ISP says the Boise driver was heading east on the boulevard when his vehicle crossed the center median divider and collided with a 63-year-old Nampa driver.

Study shows nearly a quarter of adults in this Idaho county have coronavirus antibodies

BOISE, Idaho — A study has shown that roughly 23% of Blaine County’s adult population has coronavirus antibodies, according to a news release from the city of Ketchum. Preliminary results from the antibody study — conducted by The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, and Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in New York — showed that antibodies were most prevalent in Ketchum, where roughly 35% of the city’s adults have virus antibodies, one of the highest per-capita rates of any city in the country.
