GALVESTON COUNTY — A driver struck a Galveston County Sheriff’s Office sergeant who was working an accident on Highway 87 at Crystal Beach, seriously injuring the deputy who “nearly went through the windshield,” according to information Galveston County Sheriff Henry Trochesset provided to KFDM/Fox 4 News.

GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas – A Galveston County sheriff’s deputy was injured and airlifted following a crash early Sunday during the Jeep Weekend event at Crystal Beach. According to a report from KPRC, KSAT’s sister station, a vehicle struck the deputy around 1:30 a.m. and nearly sent him through the windshield.
