HISTORY: Mississippi State earns school's first Super Regional berth with stunning wins over FSU

Tallahassee, Florida has been the site of several historic moments for Mississippi State baseball over the years but the softball team has gotten into the game now. In what was quite possibly the greatest two days in the program’s history, the Bulldogs came out of the loser’s bracket in day one and won four games in two days to earn the school’s first Super Regional birth. Sunday was an incredible run for the Bulldogs as they knocked off the No. 2 overall seed Florida State in two ball games.

FSU swept by UNC to end regular season

No. 20 Florida State (32-22, 15-15 )dropped their regular-season finale to North Carolina (34-19, 15-15 ACC) by a score of 11-0 as the Tar Heels completed the series sweep on Saturday. The Seminoles dropped their last four games of the regular season to finish with a .593 win%. After entering the season as the favorites to win the conference, the 'Noles will head to Charlotte as the No. 9 seed in the ACC Tournament. FSU finished the season 6-14 away from Dick Howser Stadium.
