Two Bystanders Shot at Ft Worth Club

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred just after midnight on Saturday at a club on the east side of town. Police were dispatched to the Kings and Queens club, 5116 E. Rosedale Street, after shots were fired during an argument between a man and a woman.

Deaths of Texans not Wearing Seat Belts Spike 16% in 2020

Despite a drop in the number of traffic crashes throughout the year, 2020 saw a spike in the number of fatalities overall and deaths of people in Texas from not wearing a seat belt. That’s why TxDOT is reminding everyone that buckling up is the best defense in a crash. Last year, the simple act of buckling up saved many Texans from death or serious injury in crashes. Unfortunately, in 2020 there was a 16% increase in deaths of unbuckled motorists. There were 1,073 fatalities in 2020 and 926 fatalities in 2019 due to people not wearing seat belts.

Tot found dead in washing machine in burning mobile home; dad takes plea deal

A London man charged in the death of his child during a trailer fire pleaded guilty to a lesser charge. Vaughn Ashley Brock II, 28, of Reams Lane in London, sidestepped his scheduled jury trial for May 3 by entering a guilty plea to second-degree manslaughter in Laurel Circuit Court on Thursday morning. He is recommended to serve 10 years in prison and is set for sentencing on May 24.

U.S. Congressman Pat Fallon (TX-04) sent a letter yesterday to Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas demanding the Biden administration end its disastrous “catch and release” immigration policy. The letter comes after the Department of Homeland Security allegedly instructed the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department in Franklin County, Texas to release illegal immigrants suspected of numerous crimes.
