Driver of 4-wheeler injured after crashing into Canton crosswalk pole

CANTON – A man was injured Saturday afternoon when the 4-wheeler he was driving crashed into the pole for a crosswalk sign. Canton Police, Fire and EMS were called to 19th Street NE at Gibbs Avenue NE about 1:40 p.m. Saturday. Witnesses on scene said the adult male had been speeding through the intersection, and struck the police while attempting a turn.

Nearly 700 cars fill downtown streets for the Loudonville Car Show

LOUDONVILLE - With an estimated 670 cars packed into a four-block area of Main and side streets, the village of Loudonville enjoyed one of its biggest and best car shows ever. An annual event since 2000, save the 2020 closed date due to the coronavirus, the 2022 version was graced by nearly perfect summer weather, temperatures in the low 80s and bright sunny skies. Cars started rolling in to the show before 7 a.m., with streets filled by 10 a.m.

I-77 crash closes southbound lanes in Dover

DOVER – A two-vehicle crash on I-77 at the Schneider's Crossing Road offramp closed southbound lanes for approximately one hour at 3:00 p.m., Friday, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol. One person was transferred to Mercy Medical Center via ambulance after a medical helicopter declined service due to weather conditions. Dover Fire Department, Smith Ambulance, the Tuscarawas County Sherrif's Department, the Ohio Highway Patrol, and ODOT all responded to the crash scene.
