Fraud charge yields 21 months in prison for former Leola banker

A former banker has been sentenced to 21 months in federal prison after he authorized loans in the name of a customer, but used the money himself. Gabe Outtrim, 42, of Glenham pleaded guilty to a count of fraud Dec. 7 at the federal courthouse in Aberdeen. On Monday afternoon, Federal Judge Charles B. Kornmann sentenced Outtrim to 21 months in prison in addition to five years of supervised release. He must also pay $144,000 in restitution.

Explore the wonder of coding using the popular Scratch programming language from MIT. There will be new challenges and projects each week. No prior programming experience is required, but students should be comfortable using a mouse, keyboard, and web browser. Registration is now closed.
