5 Colorado Locations Make the Top List for Snowiest Towns

We might have had a below-average winter in Colorado when it comes to snowfall, but that didn't stop Mother Nature from dropping feet of snow on some locations in Colorado. According to Meteorologist, Cory Reppenhagen, Colorado towns took up 25 percent of the top 20 snowiest small towns in America. The list of the top 20 small towns includes the upper peninsula of Michigan and Alaska.

Climber Rescued From Boulder’s First Flatiron

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Boulder County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Chautauqua Park Monday morning for a stuck climber. They say a 47-year-old woman tried to free solo on a rock formation known as “The Spy” when she veered off the correct route and ended up on the face of the first Flatiron. Boulder Open Space Mountain Parks and the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group reached the climber from above and rappelled down to her. They say they lowered her to the ground using a rope system.

28th Street reopened in north Boulder after semi on fire

Boulder police have reopened southbound 28th Street at Iris Avenue after firefighters were able to extinguish a semi truck fire. Police tweeted at 4 p.m. Monday asking drivers to avoid the area.
