Man charged with homicide after strangling wife in Mercer

COOLSPRING TWP., Pa. — A Mercer County man was charged with homicide after police say he strangled his wife on Monday. Eric Raymond George, 44, of Mercer, was charged in the death of Serena Schoeder, 41, of Lemoore, California. Police said George called 911 around 10:45 p.m. Monday and reported that he needed emergency services after he had strangled the woman.
