Hannibal teen injured in crash

A Hannibal teen was injured in a weekend crash in Macon County. The wreck happened around 3:30 p.m. Sunday on Highway 63, about six miles north of Macon. Tailor Lain, 18, was driving south when the SUV she was driving went off the left side of the road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Road closures for July 2 Hannibal Cannibal

(KHQA) — The 27th Annual Hannibal Cannibal is on Saturday, July 2 with rolling start between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. As has been the custom for the last several years, Highway 79 from Church Street in Hannibal to Continental Cement on South 79 will be closed for the race. The highway will close down at 6 a.m. to prepare for the race. Starting at 8:30 a.m. the course will begin to open back up at Continental Cement and proceed north.

The contest is open to anyone age 8 or older who lives within a 50-mile radius of Hannibal. The contest is being coordinated by the Hannibal Arts Council in partnership with Robinson Outdoor and Independent’s Service Company.
