On June 25th, 2022, the Town of Boone partnered with the High County Audubon Society (HCAS) to host a tree planting event at the Bolick Property. The Town of Boone originally purchased the Bolick Property in 2016, and has permanently conserved approximately 31 acres of the 54 acre property. JOHNSON CITY - Timothy Keith Lyons, age 69, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born in Torrance, California, a son of the late Keith and Barbara Lyons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dwayne Lyons; father-in-law, Kenneth B. Weeks; and one brother-in-law, Phillip B. Weeks.

Harolde Junior Smeltzer

Harolde Junior Smeltzer, 96, of Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Formerly of Indiana, Pa., Harolde was born December 21, 1925 in White Township, Pa., to the late George Dennis Smeltzer and Maude Snyder Smeltzer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Bertha E. Smeltzer, and a son-in-law, Michael Chicka.
