Foster County Health Turns Focus to Younger Vaccinations

CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – As vaccinations efforts continue in Foster County, the focus has moved towards reaching herd immunity and younger population. According to Foster County Public Health Administrator Lisa Hilbert, the goal of vaccinations is to get 70% of the total population vaccinated to reach herd immunity. Hilbert added that with the younger population able to receive the vaccination, the county is getting closer to that goal.

COVID-19 Vaccination Efforts Continue in Foster County

CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Foster County residents will see a slight change in vaccine distribution as COVID-19 vaccination efforts continue. Shane Wendel with Central Pharmacy says as the demand for the vaccine slowly declines, area health groups have made changes to their distribution plans. Market President Mariann Doeling reports as of Wednesday, April 7th, there were 441,946 doses of vaccine given in North Dakota. She says in Foster County, 2,157 people have received a dose of vaccine. Eddy County has provided 1,598 who have received their first dose and a little more than 2,000 have received a dose in Wells County.
