Scranton (Lackawanna County) - A 63-year-old Michigan man died at The Peach Festival on Montage Mountain Sunday afternoon. According to the Lackawanna County Coroner's Office, the man, who has not yet been identified other than to say is from Norton Shores, Michigan, was in the pavilion area when he went into cardiac arrest.

SCRANTON, PA — The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that on June 27, 2022, Damian Julmal Navarro, age 27, of Kingston, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 180 months imprisonment to be followed by 5 years of supervised release by U.S. District Court Judge Malachy E. Mannion following his conviction for conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute heroin/fentanyl, as well as for possessing a firearm in furtherance of his drug trafficking crimes.

Firefighters busy putting out large house fires in Plymouth Borough Sunday

Plymouth Borough (Luzerne County) - Firefighters from 10 different fire departments had their hands full Sunday morning putting out four house fires in Plymouth Borough. What began around 9:45am on the 400 block of Palmer Street, four homes were engulfed in flames. Three of the four homes were destroyed, while one has what investigators are calling, fire damage.
