Man cited after Brown crash causes car to overturn

MOUNT STERLING — A Fort Worth, Texas, man was cited on several charges after a crash Monday caused his car to overturn in a ditch on U.S. 24. Illinois State Police said Jorge P. Silva, 24, of Fort Worth was speeding about 5:50 p.m. on U.S. 24 near County Road 1100 E. when he tried to turn into a driveway and lost control of the vehicle. The car overturned and came to a stop on its top in a ditch, police said.

Sep. 21—The Fort Worth Fire Department found two burn victims while responding to a single-story house fire in the 2800 block of Pearl Avenue about 3:15 p.m. on Monday. One victim was rescued from the home in north Fort Worth and transported by CareFlite to Parkland Memorial Hospital’s burn center in Dallas, fire department spokesman Michael Drivdahl said. A MedStar representative said the victim’s burns are serious but not life-threatening.

LAKE WORTH, Texas — Three homes have been damaged after a military training aircraft crashed in Lake Worth, Texas, according to the Fort Worth Fire Department. The Navy T-45C Goshawk jet trainer aircraft crashed in the backyard of one of the homes, and the debris damaged the nearby structures, Lake Worth Fire Chief Ryan Arthur told reporters at a press conference Sunday afternoon.
