Albany man who fled courthouse, found dead in Florida following standoff with police

ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — A man convicted of attempted murder fled an Albany courthouse before that verdict could be read was found dead in Florida two weeks later. Michael Green, aka Michael Edwards, 36, was convicted after a jury trial of one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, a Class B Violent Felony, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class C Violent Felony, before the Hon. Roger McDonough in Albany County Supreme Court Friday afternoon.

One Hospitalized in Crash on Lee Center Road, Woman, 92, Ticketed

A violent crash sent an SUV spinning into a tree on a country road in Oneida County sending one person the hospital. The crash happened in the town of Westernville at the crossing of Stokes-Lee Center Road and Thomas Road. That's according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office who ticketed 92-year-old June Aikens of Rome with failing to yield the right or way. Deputies says the accident happened as Aikens was attempting to cross Stokes-Lee Center Road.

Brian Maurice Walsh 1955 – 2022

Brian Maurice Walsh, age 67, of Little Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, June 23rd, 2022 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, New York, after a short illness. He was born on March 4, 1955, in Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn, New York son of the late Edward and Isabelle (McGuire) Walsh, and educated in Brooklyn schools. He moved to Salisbury Center as a young man where he bought a home and property. He loved his house and his land which were always in his heart. He was a member of the Salisbury Grange and also on the Board of the Kirby Free Library. He moved to Little Falls in 2014. On August 4, 2001, he was united in marriage with Sherrill Doxtader in the Salisbury Methodist Church. The couple would have celebrated 21 years of marriage this year.
