Pierre woman facing over a dozen charges after short pursuit last night

A 26 year old woman from Pierre faces several charges after multiple hit-and-run incidents and vehicle pursuit in Pierre late last night (June 16, 2021). According to the Pierre Police Department, officers were called to a hit-and-run traffic crash at a business in the 1700 block of North Garfield Avenue shortly before 10pm. While officers on scene were conducting their investigation, another officer in the 700 block of East Wells Avenue located the vehicle believed to be involved. The officer attempted to stop the car; however, the driver–Crystal PayPay– fled and a pursuit ensued.

It’s been a while…..but the Pierre train bridge got another camper

The train bridge in Pierre has added another camper air conditioning unit to its tally of damages– but the camper’s owner may not know it yet. DRG Media Group news and farm director Jody Heemstra was southbound on Pierre Street going under the train bridge as a pickup pulling a large camper was northbound around 10:30am.
