(KTTS News) — A man charged with shooting his girlfriend to death in Lebanon has pleaded not guilty. The Laclede County Sheriff says Dillion Bacon, 22, was living with his girlfriend, 21-year-old Megan Glasser. He’s charged with first-degree murder for shooting her in the head on April 16.

LHS track team prepares for sectionals

The Lebanon High School track and field team competed in the Missouri Class 5 District 5 tournament at Eureka High School. At the event, the team had multiple qualifiers for the Missouri Class 5 Sectional 3 track and field meet this Saturday at Waynesville High School. “I am proud of the way our kids competed,” head coach Shane Rebmann said. “We are excited to see how they perform at Sectionals and expect to qualify for the state tournament.” For more on this story see Wednesday's LCR.

Megan Cook Awarded MVP For KC Blue Angels Cross Country

Megan Cook, a 2020 graduate of Okawville Jr./Sr. High School was named Most Valuable Player for the Kaskaskia College Blue Angels cross country team. “I am very honored to have received the MVP award for cross country,” said Megan Cook. “It made me realize that my hard work has paid off, and I was able to help out our team to the best of my ability like I wanted to.”

Missouri S&T is one of the nation’s best universities for the money and tops in the state, according to Money’s Best Colleges ranking. The ranking, released Monday, May 16, places Missouri S&T at No. 41 in the nation out of 623 colleges and universities included in the ranking.
