There were three separate pursuits over the weekend in Christian County, and three individuals are facing multiple charges in relation to those incidents. According to a news release from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, all three occurred on Sunday, with the first taking place around noon when deputies attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Trevor Towner of Benton that was allegedly speeding on the Pennyrile Parkway. Towner failed to stop and continued off the Parkway and onto Greenville Road, though the pursuit did come to a stop and he was taken into custody. He is charged with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police and several traffic violations.

A Hopkinsville woman was charged with wanton endangerment after a man was found unresponsive on Russellville Road in Christian County Saturday afternoon. Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to the area of Stone Lane for an unresponsive man possibly not breathing. Before law enforcement arrived, 28-year-old Ashley Faughn allegedly helped get the man on a tarp and drag him into a shed.

The turn of events unfolded on May 11 after undercover detectives prevented a confrontation between rival groups where gunfire would have been exchanged, according to metro police.

A Crofton man was charged with wanton endangerment after a disturbance on Adams Store Poole Mill Road in Christian County Sunday morning. Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 42-year-old Donovan Cansler, who was allegedly intoxicated, went to a home on Adams Store Poole Mill Road to get his son from family members after church. He reportedly got out of the vehicle armed with a gun and then got into a physical altercation with a family member, pushing and grabbing each other by the neck before law enforcement arrived.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A new Tennessee law that started in Clarksville offers new privacy protections for residential property owners. Through the Unlisted Bill (HB2597/SB2695), a property owner can request that their county property assessor label them as “unlisted” in online searchable databases.
