Forest County house fire displaces 13

CRANDON, Wis. (WJFW)- According to the American Red Cross of Wisconsin; volunteers are providing comfort and aid for essentials (ex. meals, replacement clothes) to a family of 13 displaced by a fire at their home early Sunday on State Highway 55 in Crandon. Nine of those displaced are children under the age of 18. Our volunteers will continue to help this family through the next steps on their recovery.

Keegan Kincaid Back in Championship Off-Road Action at Hometown Crandon Brush Run

Defending Championship Off-Road Pro 2 champion Keegan Kincaid will look to surge back to the front of the field with a return to his hometown Crandon International Raceway this weekend for the return of the Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run. Kincaid, a past winner in numerous Crandon events across multiple classes, will do battle three times over the weekend: once each in Pro 2 on Saturday and Sunday, and again in the Pro 2 vs. Pro 4 Forest County Potawatomi Community Cup race that caps off the weekend on Sunday afternoon.

Child who survived 2013 Forest County child abuse dies at age 10

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Funeral services will be held Thursday for a 10-year-old boy who survived debilitating physical abuse as a toddler. Kolton Ouellette was just 18 months old when his mother’s boyfriend physically abused him. His mother was convicted of covering up the abuse. Kolton was left in a permanent vegetative state. He passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday.
