Man accused of stabbing another inmate in Hall jail

A Hall County Jail inmate was accused of punching and stabbing another inmate’s face with a shank, according to authorities. Jody Edward Summers, 53, was charged with aggravated assault, battery and inmate with possession of a weapon, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. Summers was booked into the jail in September, and his other charges include an indicted drug trafficking case, according to the Sheriff’s Office jail database.

FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities in north Georgia are asking for the public's help finding a missing 13-year-old child not seen since Monday afternoon near a local waterway. Floyd County Police said that 13-year-old Erika Hope Touchstone went missing from the area of Armuchee Creek around 2 p.m. and may have run away.
