Florida family's North Georgia vacation ruined by cabin fire

A family of 10 from Florida vacationing in White County had their trip ruined when fire broke out at the cabin where they were staying. White County Public Safety Director David Murphy said White County Fire Station 6 was dispatched Saturday morning around 10:30 to investigate a report of smoke in the area of Little Bear Court and Gold Flume Way.

Authorities say the children hooked a noose around the gator at Fay Lake Wilderness Park in Port St. John and dragged it to shore Thursday night.

1 dead at Florida pride parade after truck drives through crowd

One person has died and one other was hospitalized after the driver of a truck ran into the crowd at a pride parade in Wilton Manors, Florida, on Saturday, according to the Broward County Sheriff's office. Local police said that due to the "tragic event," the parade intended to commemorate the Stonewall Riots was canceled, but said that "there is no danger to the public."

Deadly Crash During Pride Parade In South Florida
