13u Storm Chasers Head To Quincy Wood Bat Today

The SC 13u Storm Chasers return to tournament play today as they head to the Quincy Wood Bat for a pair of pool play games tonight starting at 6 and 8pm. They will then play in elimination bracket play on Sunday. The Storm Chasers are 20-9 on the season with 2 tournaments left after this weekend. They will be in the GMB 4th of July Bash in O’Fallon next weekend and then the weekend of the 16th they will play at Osage Beach, Missouri in the GMB World Series.

City of Bolivar, Mo. amends fireworks ordinance

BOLIVAR, Mo. (Edited News Release/KY3) - Bolivar residents will now have the chance to shoot fireworks within city limits this holiday season. In a meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 25, Bolivar’s Board of Aldermen unanimously voted to amend the city’s ordinances regarding the use of fireworks within city limits. Under the amended ordinance, people can use consumer fireworks within city limits from noon to 11 p.m. from July 1 through July 8. The ordinance also allows the use of fireworks for the New Year’s holiday, from 10 p.m. on Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. on Jan. 1.

Buffalo, Mo. officer tasered in an altercation with suspect

BUFFALO, Mo. (KY3) - A Buffalo Police Department police officer suffered injuries in an altercation with a suspect. Doctors say he should be okay. Investigators say the officer saw Greg Parsons on the road and knew he had an active warrant. Police say the officer attempted to arrest Parsons. Investigators say the officer asked him to put out a cigarette, and Parsons would not comply. Parsons then began hitting other deputies assisting in the arrest.
