The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office says they will be profiling unsolved murder cases from the valley over the next several months. The department says they have seen cases solved decades afterwards, and that if there is one thing they have learned, it’s to never lose faith or give up.

Clark Arrested on Richland County Warrant

On June 27th at approximately 4:00 PM, Deputy Capeheart with the White County Sheriff’s Office was informed by dispatch that 40 year old Larry J Clark of 202 S Monroe in Parkersburg was brought in by the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department for the charge of Domestic Battery. Capeheart learned that Clark was wanted on a Failure to Appear on a warrant out of Richland County for Driving While License Suspended. Capeheart stated that he informed Clark that he was under arrest for the warrant, along with his domestic charge. Bond for Clark was set at $150. He paid bond and was released.

(OLNEY) The Richland County Farm Bureau office in Olney has released its weekly rainfall report from the nine townships within Richland County, with the recording period ending at 8:00 this past Monday morning, with all of the rain falling over the weekend. The highest amount of rain last week was two and a half inches (2.50) in Noble Township, followed by two inches and one tenth (2.10) in German Township, two inches even (2.00) in Denver Township, and an inch and eight tenths (1.80) at the Farm Bureau Office in Olney. The remaining rainfall amounts had Olney Township with an inch and three quarters (1.75), Preston Township with an inch and six tenths (1.60), Claremont Township at an inch and a half (1.50), Decker Township at an inch and four tenths (1.40), one of the Bonpas Township sites and Madison Township each at an inch and three tenths (1.30), and the other Bonpas Township site with an inch and one tenth (1.10). Here at our National Weather Service Weather Station, at the south edge of Olney, we had an inch and seventy-two hundredths (1.72) last week. That compares to under a half inch (0.44) of rain a year ago last week.

Wabash Valley Friendship Clubhouse is moving

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A program designed to help individuals whose lives have been severely disrupted by their mental illness is expanding. At Thursday’s Good Samaritan Board of Governors meeting, the board approved a plan to move their Samaritan Center Wabash Valley Friendship Clubhouse to a larger location. The move comes after the current facility has struggled to be able to serve the growing membership in the program.
