Geneva Man Arrested on Warrant

On June 29, 2022, at 5:44 pm, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Nicholas M. Roof, age 31, of Geneva on a bench warrant from the Town of Seneca Falls Court. Roof is accused of failing to appear for his sentence, post conviction, for the original charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Roof was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await Centralized Arraignment.

FLLT Receives 200yr Old Home & Over 140 Acres of Land in Enfield

An historic 200 year old home and over 140 acres of land in the Town of Enfield have been donated to The Finger Lakes Land Trust. The land, directly adjacent to Robert H Treman State Park, features a mix of fields and forests. The trust will work with state park officials, the Cayuga Trails Club, and the Finger Lakes Trail Conference to develop a plan to conserve the land and create a hiking path, connected to the nearby Finger Lakes Trail.

Police Investigating Break-In At Popular Palmyra Ice Cream Shop

Police are investigating a break-in that occurred at a business on East Main Street in the village of Palmyra this week. In security camera footage posted on its Facebook page, two suspects are shown breaking into the Chill and Grill ice cream shop around two o’clock Monday morning.
