Feast Your Eyes On This ‘Once In A Lifetime’ Hamptons Home—It Could Be Yours!

When power brokers Kyle Rosko and Marcy Braun of the Eklund Gomes team at Douglas Elliman talk about 51 West End Road, their breathtaking listing on East Hampton’s most desirable private street, it’s impossible for their faces not to light up. The five-bedroom, five-bathroom home and its surrounding land, ocean frontage, and private stretch of Georgica Beach, isn’t just exclusive, it’s incredibly rare and historically significant. We took a break from swooning over pictures of it to call them and hear more about the picture-perfect property.

They also have not had much experience with cats or dogs but are willing to consider sharing our home with a furry friend. They are very bonded, quiet and reserved, and must go to a quiet and peaceful home together. See more at, or come visit in person. The New Object & Thing Exhibition Is a Garden of Earthly Delights

If you’re lucky enough to wander the grounds of Madoo—the estate of the late multi-hyphenate creative Robert Dash and the site of the new Object & Thing exhibition—it’s almost impossible not to come away impressed by its sense of otherworldliness. “I was overwhelmed by a sense of escape,” Abby Bangser, Object & Thing’s founder and creative director, says of the Sagaponack, New York, oasis. “It’s informed by traditions, along with a twist and sense of playfulness.” Opening today and running through June 25, the Object & Thing event is being held in conjunction with the Madoo Conservancy, a nonprofit organization tasked with preserving this living monument to Dash’s gardening and design taste, which will receive a percentage of sales.

Locally Foraged Ingredients are Focus of R.I. Man’s Mocktails

WESTERLY, R.I. — Keith Cowley loves sharks. He loves them so much that he decorated the mocktail bar and cafe he’s opening on Memorial Day weekend with a nautical theme. Maritime Mocktail Bar & Cafe is in Stonington, Conn., the one-time home of “Jaws” author Peter Benchley, and its blue and gold decor is upscale, but welcoming — the kind of place anyone would feel comfortable swimming into.

Skip the Beach and Explore Renowned Art at This East Hampton House

The excitement in Lisa Perry’s voice is palpable as she describes the hand-dyed, woven tapestries of Japanese artist, Mitsuko Asakura. “The colors, the intricacy, the richness, the way that she puts these weavings together—it’s extraordinary,” gushes the designer and curator as she prepares for the opening art showcase at Onna House in East Hampton, New York. “Her works look like they were made for the house,” she adds, noting the Japanese influences evident in the architecture of the residence-turned-art space—and in its name.

A trio of newer food-and-drink places in Mystic

Mystic has its share of long-standing attractions, but there are some new restaurants and bars that are becoming major draws on their own. Here are a few. The Port of Call and the Dive Bar, which opened earlier this year, is a cocktail lounge and small-plates venue, and it’s cleverly decorated in a way that is in sync with the town’s maritime history. Port of Call is a “cocktail driven experience” with small plate offerings. Dive is a pub with beer and bar food, like its popular “Saugy Dog” hot dog with house-made kimchi and steamed bao bun. It’s all a collaboration between Meiser's 85th Day Food Community and The Real McCoy Rum. The site has great character, yes, but also tasty drinks and dishes. Examples of the cuisine: Port of Call includes squid ink empanadas and a Singapore-style grilled mushroom salad.
