Seven year anniversary of Crystal Roger’s disappearance

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Sunday marks seven years since Crystal Rogers was last seen at her then boyfriend Brook Houck’s home in Bardstown. Crystal’s car was found abandoned with a flat tire on the Bluegrass Parkway two fays after she was reported missing. Her cellphone and purse were inside the car when it was found.

Columbia, KY (July 1, 2022) Kentucky State Police Post 15 will be conducting periodic traffic safety checkpoints in the Post 15 area, which includes Green, Taylor, Marion, Washington, Russell, Casey, Adair, Metcalfe, Monroe, Clinton, and Cumberland counties. These checkpoints will be conducted as part of Post 15’s highway safety efforts. MOUNT STERLING, KY (July 1, 2022) – The CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations’ statewide “Evening of Hope” fundraising event has raised more than $260,000 on Saturday, June 18, with more gifts continuing to be made. Proceeds from the event will benefit CHI Saint Joseph Health cancer patients and their families. For the second consecutive year, the fundraising event was held in place of in-person galas and other fundraising events. The event included Kentuckians across the state – including in Mount Sterling – hosting a dinner party fundraiser, which featured a virtual silent auction, a mission moment and inspiring stories of hope.

On June 22, The Columbia area HIDTA Office executed a search warrant after an ongoing investigation in Metcalfe County. Upon search, Investigators located a large quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, and prescription pills. During the search, a large quantity of ammunition, a 9mm handgun, and a large quantity of US currency were also located.

Crowded Columbia Car Crash

The Columbia Police Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with injury, Tuesday evening, June 28, near the. the intersection of Burkesville Street and Dohoney Trace. The accident occurred when Felicia Vanardsdale, 49, of Columbia appears to have turned onto Dohoney Trace coming from Fivestar while driving a 2015 Subaru and collided with a 2013 Kia Optima, operated by Renee Stinson, 52, also of Columbia.

Alice Jean Grimsley Matney, age 70 of Greensburg, passed away Monday at the UofL Hospital in Louisville. She is survived by her husband: Kenneth Matney of Greensburg.
