Man dies after being pulled from burning car near Tower City

(Buffalo, ND) -- One man has died after a vehicle fire Sunday morning off I-94. The Cass County Sheriff's Office says they, along with six other agencies were called to the eastbound lane of the highway near mile marker 313 around 9 a.m. for reports of a car on fire.

Valley City Post 60 Wins Mid-Summer Classic

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Legion Post 60 Royals won the mid-summer baseball classic tournament over the weekend in Valley City. The Royals captured their crown by defeating Casselton in the championship game, 13-1. Valley City would get their tournament started by defeating the Langdon Red Sox in a close 10-9 game, and then defeating Clark, S.D., 8-7. With the pair of wins the Royals would find themselves in the championship portion of the bracket. Valley City would then take on the West Fargo Aces in the semi-finals and cruise to the 13-3 victory to send them to the championship match up. In the finals, Valley City would be matched up with Casselton. The Royals offense would continue to stay hot as Valley City would reach double digits again and with the championship game 13-1, and claim the mid-summer classic crown.

ADM's Northern Sun plant partially shuts down to deal with bin damage

ENDERLIN, N.D. — An oilseed processing plant in Enderlin has been at least partially shut down for a week after employees noticed a meal tank had shifted on its foundation. The ADM Northern Sun plant, which crushes sunflowers, canola and soybeans into oil, has been partially shut down since June 17 while crews have assessed the problem and necessary repairs, said Jackie Anderson, a spokesperson for ADM.
