Tiffin man charged with possession of suspected meth, fentanyl, crack cocaine

TOLEDO, Ohio — A man from Tiffin was arrested Monday after the discovery of drug-related materials in his home. According to a press release from the Seneca County Drug Task Force METRICH Enforcement Unit, law enforcement from the Tiffin Police Department, Seneca County Sheriff's Office and Ohio Attorney Genera's Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation executed a search warrant on the 200 block of Second Avenue.

Man accused of shooting OSHP trooper during struggle to represent himself in trial

FINDLAY, Ohio (WTVG) - A trial date has been set for a man accused of shooting an OSHP trooper in a struggle during a traffic stop last year. Robert Hathorn, of Muskegon, Michigan, chose to represent himself at trial, according to the Hancock County Common Pleas Court. The court also said there will be an attorney there for him just in case. The trial has been scheduled for June 6.

Findlay Airport receives details plans to reconstruct north apron

TOLEDO, Ohio — The City of Findlay Airport has secured funds to revamp its North Aircraft Parking Apron starting in late summer. A new concrete parking hardstand will allow larger aircrafts, provide improved drainage and have clear pavement markings thanks to a $1.8 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Beckett’s receives Chamber investor grant to help with lounge project

The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce is honored to announce the recipient of their Investor Grant for the first quarter of 2022 is Beckett’s Burger Bar. George Strata, owner of Beckett’s Burger Bar, applied for the Investor Grant in hopes of using the money to aid in their construction and furnishing of a back-room lounge. According to Mr. Strata “Having a newly remodeled room for events such as baby showers, wedding rehearsals, and business meetings will be a big addition to our business.” The $1000 will be used to keep them in budget on this project and to help train new employees.
