The fourth annual Historic Folsom Hometown Parade is taking place on Saturday. The parade started at 9:30 a.m. It's free to the community to enjoy the 70 parade entries, live music and entertainment, derby cars, horses, and more for a fun celebration of Folsom pride. The emcees make announcements along the route so no matter where folks are sitting they'll hear the announcements.

Madison Avenue Accident Involved Multiple Vehicles. A multiple-vehicle crash in Fair Oaks on June 20 reportedly caused minor injuries. The four-vehicle collision occurred along westbound Madison Avenue just west of Hazel Avenue around 4:14 p.m. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that it involved a Toyota van, Subaru Forester and two additional vehicles, blocking traffic. At least two of the vehicles had to be towed from the scene. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway by the CHP to determine which driver/drivers were at fault and how the accident occurred.

Ronald Darr Jr. passed away June 6 peacefully in his sleep from heart disease and asthma. He was preceded in death by his parents Ronald and Margaret Darr. He is survived by seven siblings Michael Sr. (Linda) Darr, Kevin Sr. (Terri) Darr, Rosemary (Patrick) Pendola, Eileen (David) Butterfield, Hanora (Robert) Morris, Mary (Jimmie) Owens and Thomas (Anne) Darr, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
