Lightning strike causes fire in Seguin

SAN ANTONIO — A lightning strike is the reason for a grass fire in Seguin, officials say. It started around 3:15 p.m. when the Seguin Fire Department responded to a grass fire in the 4400 block of I-10 West. Officials say a lightning strike ignited the fire, but a strong north wind cause the fire to spread.

Lightning strike sparks large Seguin fire near Interstate 10

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Fire crews are currently battling a grass fire near Interstate 10 in Seguin Monday afternoon. The City of Seguin said the fire is near San Antonio RV and was sparked by a lightning strike. The Seguin Fire Department is working to contain the fire.

A strong north wind caused the fire to spread to the San Antonio RV dealership. 20 RVs burned in the fire. There were no injuries, and as of 4 pm, the fire was extinguished and contained.
