Man who murdered his girlfriend sentenced to life in prison

On Friday, June 24 the Tulare County Superior Court, Martin, 23, was sentenced to life in prison for the 2019 murder of his girlfriend. Under current California law, Martin must serve 42 years in prison before becoming eligible for parole; however, due to his age, 20, at the time of the crime Martin is eligible for a youth offender parole hearing after 25 years of incarceration. The youth offender parole hearing can apply to inmates who were below the age of 26 when the crime was committed.

Driver wanted following hit-and-run collision in Tulare County

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (FOX26) — The California Highway Patrol out of Visalia is looking for a hit-and-run driver who collided with a motorcyclist on Saturday, June 25. According to CHP Visalia, the collision happened around 2:20 a.m. when a driver in a dark vehicle, possibly a Honda, crashed into a motorcyclist on Avenue 416 just east of Road 48 in Tulare County.

California man sentenced to life for killing girlfriend with AR-15 following argument

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (TCD) -- A 23-year-old man has been sentenced to prison for the 2019 murder of his girlfriend. According to a news release from the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office, on Oct. 5, 2019, Anthony Martin and his girlfriend of two years got into a verbal dispute while driving to her home in Visalia. Upon their arrival, Martin reportedly told his girlfriend to grab his AR-15 rifle.
